Corvairs Land Offensive Talent Connor Sooley

June 16 2025 – Caledonia, ON – The Caledonia Corvairs are excited to announce the signing of forward Connor Sooley ahead of the 2025–26 GOJHL season.

A product of Chippewa First Nations, Ontario, Sooley joins the Corvairs after an impressive season with the U18 York Simcoe Express AAA program. The 5’10”, 154 lb right-shot forward brings speed, skill, and proven offensive production to the Caledonia lineup.

During the 2024–25 season, Sooley posted 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 29 regular season games, while also recording 21 penalty minutes. He elevated his game in the playoffs, putting up 7 goals and 9 assists for 16 points in 10 games, along with 6 PIM — showcasing his ability to perform in high-pressure moments.

“Connor brings a little bit of everything to the table. He has a good hockey IQ that allows him to play both sides of the game well.” said GM Jake MacNeil. “He’s got a side of grit to finish his checks, offensively reads plays well and brings tremendous character and dedication to wanting to win. Had a lot of offers at various levels and were glad he’s entrusted our organization for a strong season ahead”.
